After spending a considerable amount of time in Chiang Mai last year, an idea was planted in my head after hearing about this pilgrimage from the locals. The idea was simple; riding 650 kilometres from the hectic city of Bangkok to the mountainous Chiang Mai in 24hours.

It wasn’t even a question of who, but when - so I immediately threw this at the five people who have never met each other in person prior to this and every single one of them immediately agreed to the mammoth ride within seconds. Fast forward to September, we embarked on this journey together - them doing the hard yakka on the bike while a few of us in the support vehicle.
